Heyyy everyone! It’s me again! How’s everything going? I hope you’re all doing great! Today, as a tech enthusiast, I’m excited to share our new project with you all: the flipped classroom approach! It’s such a fantastic way to make learning more effective. Let’s dive into it together! 😊

The flipped classroom approach might seem tricky at first, but it's simple. Students learn new material at home through videos and use class time for practice and discussions. It’s great for language classes because students can learn at their own pace. However, it requires motivation to watch the videos and reliable internet access, which isn’t always guaranteed.

For this project, assigned by Dr. Gökçe Kurt, my teammates Selinnaz Duysak, Pelin Aybay, and I decided to focus on teaching the grammar topic "Can" from the PROGRESS Preparatory Class Student’s Book. Our goal was to explain both the form and function of "can" and include exercises where students could practice by filling in the gaps. We added visuals like tables and animations to make everything clearer and more engaging.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was adjusting the audio for the video. We had some issues with timing and clarity, but after some trial and error, we were able to make it work. In terms of work distribution, Selinnaz and I worked on the video itself, while Pelin took charge of creating the activities. The narration at the end was a joint effort, with all three of us contributing to make the video as interactive and engaging as possible.

For the entire project, including animations, visuals, and voice recordings, we used Canva. It helped us adjust the timing and synchronize the audio in the video.

We also created exercises using Wordwall. After watching the video, students could reinforce their knowledge through these exercises

I hope you enjoyed this approach as much as I did! For now, I'm saying goodbye and can't wait to see you in my next blog posts. Bye! 💖
